The modules will be facilitated by Dr Ruth Jillings. Ruth is a registered psychologist and works in private practice in Takapuna. She is also the Clinical Supervisor for Raeburn House.

Ruth completed her Ph.D in stress, coping and resiliency and has a special interest in assisting individuals to stay well while managing competing demands.

A 4-module programme to develop resilient community workers. Attend all or only those workshops that you need. Choose from May or October sessions. 

Communicating with Others on Difficult Matters and in Difficult Situations: Explore your attitude to conflict and develop effective conflict management skills in challenging behavioural situations. Learn strategies to confidently engage in challenging conversations to address difficult issues.

Caring For and Keeping Myself Safe While Caring for Others: Explore practical and psychological strategies to enhance your own well-being. Learn how to combat negativity.
Dates: Tuesday 14 October.
Time: 1.00pm - 4.00pm

Working with Diversity: Explore how to work well with others particularly when they are different to you. These differences include age, gender and ethnicity.
Dates: Friday 15 October.
Time: 9.30am - 12.30pm

Facilitation Skills: Effective facilitation skills are a highly desirable attribute for individuals, organisations and business to achieve relevant well-formed outcomes. Especially relevant to practitioners engaged in a whole-of-family approach.
Develop an understanding of the benefits of good facilitation, learn effective tools, techniques, learning styles and the processes and practices that underpin excellent facilitation.
Dates: Friday 15 October.
Time: 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

Venue: Marist North Harbour Rugby Club, Stadium Drive, Albany.
Cost: $80 each or $300 for all 4 workshops
