Migrant Services

On 1 July Immigration New Zealand is launched a new information service model for new migrants to help them settle and work in New Zealand. The model is for new migrants, their families and their employers and replaces the previous Settlement Support New Zealand service, by offering services in more locations throughout New Zealand.
On 1st April 2014  the Settling In programme was transferred the from Ministry of Social Development (MSD)  to the Department of Internal Affairs' Office of Ethnic Affairs (OEA).  Over the following months Ethnic Affairs are taking the opportunity to examine Settling In to ensure the programme is providing resources where they are most needed and have high impact.  During this transitional period Raeburn House is providing  continued delivery of support for all newcomer / migrant communities (including the Korean migrant community), through the settlement information and support service and the Community Volunteer Centre (CVC).
