History
Raeburn House is a leading Social Profit organisation operating on Auckland's North Shore. It was founded in 1978 through the Auckland Area Health Board as ‘The Volunteer Network’ to provide support and resources to mental health clients living in community. In the early 1980s the organisation’s focus shifted to promoting mental health and community wellbeing, in response to community need.
In 1984 it became an incorporated society and renamed as the ‘North Shore Community Health Network’. Today the organisation still retains its legal name, but is commonly known as Raeburn House.
